Worried that you might never be free from it?

College Insights can help!

HOW, you ask?

The professional Student Loan Specialists and Certified Financial Aid Advisors at College Insights have one goal in mind- to save you as much money as possible. How do we do this? By taking advantage of policy and strategy to:

  • Maximize forgiveness on your loans
  • Reduce your monthly payment
  • Reduce your interest rate
  • Create a customized long-term strategy to save you the most amount of money possible and/or help you meet other financial goals such as buying a house, taking leave for a child, or saving for retirement.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness

People talk about student loan forgiveness like it’s one thing- it’s not. Did you know there are over 75 different forgiveness programs? They all have different rules, and people confuse them all the time. In other words, student loan forgiveness is not a one-size-fits-all, push-button-and-sit-back-and-let-it-happen endeavor. That’s why we delve deep into your existing loan situation and then advise on the almost 125 different programs and strategies to maximize your cost savings. Our hope is that with our guidance, you can qualify for full or partial student loan forgiveness.

  • Maximize Cost Savings

We want you to save as much money as possible. Our primary goal is to get as much of your loans forgiven as we can. If that doesn’t work, we will utilize a variety of programs to save you money in other creative ways.

  • Create a Long-term Strategy Customized to Your Situation

Having student loans lingering over you is not a fun way to live your life! However, we understand that sometimes they’re a necessity for achieving education and life goals.

The experts at College Insights believe loans should be manageable. We work with you to create an individualized long-term strategy that’s tailored to you and your family’s unique situation and goals. By the end of our call, you will feel good about your plan and see an end in sight.

Don’t just take our word for it.
Here's what clients are saying:

“My daughter earned a doctorate in physical therapy and built up significant student loans. We retained the services of College Insights to see if there were any options to reduce that debt. Elisia got us into a program where not only the monthly payments would be reduced, but also the remainder of the debt would be forgiven. This could be as much as $100,000 in savings for my daughter. I only wish I had known about you when we were planning for college and we would have reduced the debt we incurred by over 50%. I heartily recommend your services. Thank you Elisia and College Insights.”

“After having my baby girl this past year and making the decision to work very part time, I was struggling to pay my student loans each month. I reached out to College Insights and I’m so happy I did! They have helped my family so much and relieved so much stress in this very important time in my life. Not only were my loan payments reduced to $0, they saved over $4,000 this year alone! I wish I had called them sooner! I highly recommend their services and will be telling all my friends with student loans to contact them!”

Frequently Asked Questions

Can’t I just call my loan servicer?

Yes, but… keep in mind, they’re not trained, nor do they really care, to help you. They have been trained to get you off the phone in 7 minutes (seriously, that’s their policy). Their job and primary focus is to get you to pay your bill and get you off the phone as quickly as possible. Plus, their training is focused exclusively on their products and services, not the 125 different options that College Insights advises on. At College Insights, we want to save you as much money as possible and see you achieve your goals because we’ve been there ourselves. This isn’t business to us, it’s personal.

Is this a scam?

No- in the same way your CPA is not a scam. Your CPA has spent their entire career studying tax codes so they can save you as much as possible on your taxes. At College Insights, we’ve spent our careers studying student loan policy and programs so we can save you as much as possible on your student loans.

Who can you not help?

As a general rule, people with small loans are difficult to help. For example, if you have $10,000 left on your loans, we’ll tell you to get a side hustle. However, that is not always the case, especially if there is a special circumstance such as you’re getting ready to take maternity/paternity leave or lost your job.

What’s the worst that could happen if I book a call?

Our specialist could tell you that what you are doing right now is the best strategy for you. It’s rare, but it happens about 10% of the time. If you already provided us with your info and you ended up on this page, it’s an even smaller chance. In that case, you have to decide if peace of mind is worth it to you, especially if there’s a greater chance we can save you money on your loans.

Elisia Howard, M.A., CFAA, CCC

Founder and CEO, College Insights

As a leading expert in the realm of academic advising, college admissions, financial aid, and scholarships, my mission is to educate and aid students through the college admissions process beginning as early as middle school and extending through graduate school. Working in education for 17 years has afforded me opportunities to work with thousands of students from around the world. I’m currently the only Certified Financial Aid Advisor in the state of Washington, have my Master’s in Education, and I am a Certified College Counselor. I have done it all- from curriculum development to admissions, including five years as a university professor and leading corporate education at a large global company. After working in admissions for almost 10 years, I know the process inside and out. As a teacher, I naturally love working with students and seeing the look on their faces when something finally “clicks.” With college admissions, I find it to be even more rewarding because I know how much I’m impacting the rest of their lives. I love knowing that these students are not going to have to choose between paying off student loans, getting married, or buying a house. Watching a student succeed and enjoy their college experience because they chose a college that is right for them brings me joy. I love being able to provide students and parents with options they never thought they had, and making a difference in every way possible.
