Student Support & Counseling

Non-Clinical Support for Life’s Real Challenges

Growing up today is overwhelming. Teens and young adults are juggling academic pressure, social stress, anxiety, family changes, friendships, relationships, and big decisions about their future — often without the tools to manage any of it.

This service is a safe space for students to breathe, reflect, and grow.
A space where they can talk openly, learn practical skills, and develop emotional resilience — without fear, judgment, or pressure.

It’s not therapy. It’s not academic tutoring.

It’s real-life support for the real-life challenges students face.

Support That Meets Teens Where They Are

Every student arrives with different challenges, strengths, and fears.
I meet them exactly where they are — with patience, compassion, structure, and practical strategies that actually work.

Because every student deserves someone in their corner.

Looking Ahead: Planning for Their Future

Because I’ve been a teacher and college counselor for so many years, students don’t just learn how to manage today — we also create a clear plan for what comes next.

Together, we explore:

  • Potential college pathways
  • Career interests and strengths
  • Major selection
  • Long-term academic planning
  • Life skills needed for independence
  • How to prepare for college or the workforce with confidence

Students walk away not just feeling better, but more prepared for their future — whatever path they choose.

Where Students Learn to Navigate Life with Clarity and Calm

Sessions provide a grounding, judgment-free space where students can:

  • Vent without fear
  • Process emotions in healthy ways
  • Learn coping strategies
  • Feel heard, validated, and supported
  • Make sense of overwhelming situations
  • Gain clarity on what they want and how to get there

Confidential, Trusted, HIPAA-Compliant

  • I provide a private, supportive environment.
  • I do not share session details with parents or anyone else unless safety is involved.
  • Students are free to share what they’re comfortable sharing.
  • I am a Mandated Reporter and am required by law to take action only if safety is at risk.

Outside of those legal requirements, trust is respected and confidentiality is protected.

What This Service Is NOT

To protect families and set clear expectations:

❌ This is not mental health counseling
❌ I do not diagnose mental health conditions or learning disorders
❌ I am not a licensed counselor, psychologist, or social worker
❌ I am not an addiction specialist or crisis counselor

This service is for guidance, skills training, emotional support, and personal development.

If a student requires clinical mental health treatment, I will help connect your family to the right licensed professional.
